Telescopic Security Posts

Theam Security are the local Midlands installer of a range of telescopic security posts for the protection of vehicles and premises. They can be fitted to car parks, shop fronts and forecourts as a deterrent to thieves.

The posts are simple in use and can be locked into position within seconds by using the integral push button locking system. When not in use the posts slide discreetly into its containing tube until just below ground level.

Telescopic posts can be supplied in steel, stainless steel and ferrocast and are available in a range of colours to blend in with the surroundings. All steel posts are hot dip galvanized and the stainless steel models are manufactured from 316L grade austenitic steel.

Solid Steel Bollards

Solid Steel Bollards are the more permanent version of the telescopic type post. They act as a physical barrier to vehicles to protect your premises and pedestrian traffic.

The solid steel barrier have extremely good resistance to being rammed by vehicles whilst the ferrocast model is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and normally used in the more traditional environment.

All bollards can be supplied in a range of colours and can include motifs where necessary.

Lockfitting

Master Key Suite

Master key lock systems can be installed to a single property or to numerous sites with an almost infinite amount of locks. It can sometimes be vital to have a controlled key system within your business premises and a master key system means that there is one master key that can unlock all doors on one or multiple sites.  Each door will have its own separate key but only the master key and sub-master key has the function to open them all. This gives controlled access within the premises and a master key system will eliminate the need to hold many separate keys.

Secondary Glazing Systems

What is Secondary Glazing?

A fully independent frame fitted on the room side of an existing window to form a double window. The gap between the windows can vary but is normally greater when noise insulation is important. We use a Secondary Glazing System which has been tried and tested for over 40 years and is in use throughout the UK.

  • The windows are made from aluminium sections which are strong, durable and fully recyclable at the ‘end of life’.
  • A permanent finish is applied to the sections and hence no decoration is required and cleaning is very straightforward. The finish is normally white but almost any colour can be offered to suit your interior design.
  • A wide range of window styles allow the design to be as sympathetic as possible to the character of the building. For large windows the design may require a number of styles linked together with neat coupling sections. Each window is purpose made to provide the best fit.

Secure Roller Shutter Doors

Steel Shutters

Either manually operated push, pull or electrically powered galvanized steel shutters come in various strengths dependant on gauge of steel being used. They can be left galvanized or finished in a range of RAL colours, the shutter curtains can be solid or made see through with brick bond punched or perforated lathes. Our range includes various locking options dependant on application.

Aluminium Shutters

Theam Security have a comprehensive range of Aluminium shutters. They have been developed to provide an architecturally acceptable answer to the growing need for vandalism and burglary protection on commercial and domestic property.

The distinctive finish of security window shutters is particularly evident when built-in to the building wall during construction or major refurbishment achieving not only an attactive finish but enhanced levels of security. Built-on shutters appear unobtrusive with their compact design. Window shutters can be operated manually both internally and externally or electronically by key switches or remote control.

The shutter curtains can be supplied in various sizes to obtain a preferred look or security rating.

Standard colours are white or brown, other colours are available from our range or we can match a specific RAL colour if required.

From 1st May 2005 all shutters, grilles, folding doors, sectional doors and gates must comply with the Construction Product Directive. Using products from Theam Security that are CE marked demonstrates compliance.

Domestic Fencing

We can supply traditional wood fence panelling which is available in many different styles and sizes, with a choice of concrete posts and gravel boards, we have everything you need to create a professional looking finish. We can also provide our popular close board fencing, which entails vertical boards mounted onto a specialised constructed frame. We also offer alternative fencing options such as wooden picket fencing, which is very similar to close board panels except there is a gap between each vertical board. This is perfect for areas where there are high winds or you would like to allow light through or a view whilst still maintaining a certain level of privacy.

Wooden Fencing Panels

Traditional Wooden Fencing panels can be supplied in a variety of different styles and sizes up to a maximum of 1.8m high incorporating concrete posts and gravel boards for a low maintenance and long lasting finish.

Close Board Fencing

Vertical Close Board Fencing is a popular choice for domestic fencing where vertical boards are mounted onto a frame constructed from horizontal rails and vertical posts.

Wooden Picket Fencing

Wooden Picket Fencing is very similar in construction to close board fencing except there is a gap between each vertical board. This is often used where a view through the fence is required or where the fence is exposed to high winds.

 

Commercial Security Doors

Commercial Steel Security Doors are inherently less susceptible to attack than wooden doors and frames. No longer do they have to be “grey monstrosities” but come in a range of finishes including wood grain.

Approved certified bodies have tested this range of High Security Doors up to level 4 security using a variety of tools, simulating attacks. Certificates are held for both anti-burglary and bullet proof grades of door.

On selected doors there is a 10 year manufacturer’s warranty ensuring that these steel security doors offer lasting peace of mind.

Door closing devices can be fitted to any steel security door or Fire Door and are 2 hour fire tested, BS EN 1154 and BS EN 1634. Door closing devices are vitally important in the control of fire and smoke and consequently save lives. Fire-resisting doors (other than those to locked cupboards and service ducts) are usually required to be self-closing in accordance with building regulations.

 

We supply all types of steel security doors as either a replacement or for new build properties. The security doors can be fitted with a range of high security multi-point locking systems and stainless steel hinges.

Not only do we supply standard steel personnel doors but we can also provide a tailor made steel door for openings of a non-standard size such as fire exit doors and panic bar doors. A more heavy duty door can be fitted to suit particular applications of heavy usage and vandalism and all of our doors can be fitted with electronic locking systems for access control.

Target Hardening

Theam Security have installed numerous target hardening schemes for Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Property Management Companies.

We act either on an existing survey or do our own survey which can be carried out by our Home Office trained surveyor on the client’s behalf. The aim of the exercise is to specifically cut down on burglaries and / or vandalism in a specific area.

Our survey will identify the areas in need of attention and the best and most cost effective method of achieving the client’s requirements. Apart from individual properties, areas commonly covered are multi-occupancy entrance doors, bin store, meter cupboard doors and parking areas. Target hardening schemes are also relevant to industrial and retail areas.

Colour coated Anti-Climb Guard, ideal for protecting walls, gates and any type of fence.

Examples include schools, industrial sites, sports and leisure areas, car parks plus domestic use.

The anti-climb guard eliminates any stable platform or foothold that opportunists may use to gain access to a building.

Domestic Violence Prevention

Domestic violence is becoming more high profile in the field of crime prevention and at Theam Security Ltd we have been at the forefront of this field for a number of years.

We realise the seriousness of incidents and pride ourselves on quick reaction times for surveys and completion of work. Following liaison with the police and other relevant agencies, we will secure the property by utilising the best products available within any stipulated budget thus offering best value for money for our client and the victim.

The type of work carried out ranges from the creation of a full sanctuary room being created within a property through to door and window replacement or strengthening, alarm systems, external lighting and fencing. All Theam Security personnel working in properties affected by domestic violence are DBS Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB Criminal Records Bureau) cleared.

Domestic Violence

Although we cannot control the levels of domestic violence seen nowadays we can modify the home environment to create sanctuary rooms and alarm systems etc. Unfortunately it is an area of expertise that we have gained over many years of having to deal with people who have been directly affected by violence in the home.

Window Film

The Theam range of blast mitigation window film is specifically designed to protect against injury from flying glass following bomb blasts and industrial explosions. The film is approved to BS EN 12600 and independent tests have proven its effectiveness in an explosion. It also provides protection vandalism and theft.

 

Available in thicknesses from 50 micron to 350 micron clear or tinted finishes this film not only protects but can also be aesthetically pleasing.

We can arrange a site survey to be completed and discuss the various options available and how the film should be fixed to the glazing.

Our fade protection window film is specially designed to provide protection against damage caused by ultra-violet rays, visible light and infra-red heat in museums, shops and offices. At least 99% of UV rays are filtered out and substantially reduces transmission of infra-red heat and visible light whilst at the same time does not diminish the display environment.

Our solar control window film is specifically designed to increase comfort and productivity plus save on the cost of air conditioning by reducing the amount of transmitted heat and glare. The window film also goes a long way in helping to achieve compliance with UK and European health and safety regulations.

There is an extensive range of reflective, semi-reflective and non-reflective tints and thicker variations up to 350 micron. This enables solutions for protection against personal impact, bomb blast or industrial explosions, vandalism and theft as well as heat and glare which is provided with one installation

Roller Garage Doors

Secured By Design Garage Doors can be supplied in various styles and finishes from painted surfaces to woodgrain effect. The insulated range are manufactured from twin walled aluminium slats and a high-performance webbing.

 

The Excel is the first garage door to offer Police and Insurance approval. Tested to the rigorous LPS 1175 burglary resistance standard, the door is certified to resist timed manual attacks that mimic common burglary methods using commercially available tools such as knives, levers and screwdrivers. Operated by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), the UK’s leading independent certification body, the standard is recognised and endorsed by 16 organisations, including the Association of British Insurers and the Association of Chief Police Officers.

Excel is fitted with an innovative locking mechanism that automatically secures the door every time it closes. Upon closing, the aluminium slats firmly interlock, resisting attempts to break through or lift the door by force. To prevent the curtain from being forced out of its guide rails, the Excel also features unique bottom slat anchors (patent applied for). In addition, steel end plates and the curtain webbing assembly system also contribute to the security rating.

Security Grilles

Theam Security supply and install a large range of internal and external security grilles for domestic and commercial use.

Windows are often classed as the “soft option” to illegally enter a building. During a target hardening survey we assess the risk each window represents in order that we may recommend and install the correct window locks to secure all types of glazing. We also offer a window security film supply and fit service to strengthen normal float glass to laminated standard.

Fitted internally on window or door openings, our elegant grilles are tested to Loss Prevention Standard (LPS) 1175 to offer a formidable second line of defence. The grilles are fully retractable and equally suitable for domestic, retail and commercial applications. Grilles are available in a wide range of RAL and BS colours and when fitted offer a visible deterrent at the same time as combining strength without being obtrusive.

Retail Use

Designed to keep intruders out our extensive range of retractable security grilles still allow enough light into an area so potential customers can still view items in store.

Theam Security can strengthen any type of window from a small ventilation casement to patio doors on domestic properties, commercial entrances and shop fronts. However, glass can always be broken with force so we offer a range of security grilles to Secured by Design standard.

Security bars and grilles do not have to be obtrusive in order to protect your premises. Theam Security have a vast range of products that are both practical and efficient.

The award-winning SeceuroBar system features anti-cut steel bars which are securely locked into position to protect vulnerable window openings, but can be released from the inside to allow total vision or maintenance of windows.

Suitable for installation in a horizontal or vertical format, SeceuroBar is finished to a high standard and delivers security which is quick and easy to install, yet highly effective in a range of locations.

A higher security fixed bar system is also available for locations where removal is not a requirement. Alternatively our grilles can be manufactured in a non-retractable format.

Security Screens

Theam Security supply and install a range of security screens for all types of property that are designed to blend in with the architectural features of the building.

Security Screens can be fitted to windows to provide protection against vandalism such as stone throwing and air gun pellets. We can supply fine wire mesh screens that give the appearance of tinted windows or screens can be surface mounted to allow for the opening of windows for ventilation purposes.

 

Aluminium frames are supplied as standard in black or white but can be ordered in other colours to comply with customer specifications. The ferretic stainless steel perforated sheets fit over an existing window and can blend in with the existing features of the building.

Again tested to LPS1175, our ferretic stainless steel mesh multi purpose screens offer permanent peace of mind against attack. Hardly visible from a distance the screens allow 60% of available light to pass through and offer visibility and air flow. Easily fixed and available in various finishes, these screens are one of the most unobtrusive forms of window security available.

Theam Security also fit a wide range of composite residential doors the door leaf being a foam engineered core, surrounded by a laminated timber veneer substrate. The surface of the door shall be made from a vacuum formed 20mm (min) acrylic capped thermoplastic skin bonded to the foam core in a one-step pressing operation. The door leaf colour range being red, green, blue and white wood grain finish. Options for oak and mahogany wood grain finishes shall be available. All surfaces shall be stable against UV light.
